Zhuaxia Enables You to Search Your Subscription
Though data shows that rss readers market is dominated by online rss readers, as Google Reader, Bloglines and Newsgator, I still prefer using desktop rss reader software. One of reasons is that it is much easier to search my subscription to find content which I read before in offline rss readers. Zhuaxia, the most popular Chinese rss reader, adds search feature recently.
Zhuaxia allows users to search inside their subscriptions, post collections or among all posts. The results can be sorted by date, by relevancy or by popularity(i.e. times of recommendations). I think search inside subscriptions is very important. By using rss subscription, to some extent, we are building our own personal information sources and database. As the database grows, search will be an indispensable feature. From time to time, I will search for posts I read in my rss reader.
I don’t know why Google Reader has not add this long-awaited feature. Many users also subscribe English feeds, so in fact, Zhuaxia is building a feed search engine. Since one of the founders of Zhuaxia has worked in Baidu before he founded Zhuaxia, it is not surprised to know it.
I also found another interesting new feature of Zhuaxia. Adding your blog URL to Zhuaxia, Zhuaxia then will add subscriptions in batch by analyzing the links in your blog, including links among your posts in homepage and blogroll. It is a very convenient way for users to subscribe blogs in their blogroll, in general, that’s their friends’ blogs.

zhuaxia is a nice service!
[...] There’s one big feature that Zhuaxia has, but Xianguo doesn’t have, and even Google Reader just added it recently, the ability of searching inside the subscriptions. This is a huge advantage for Zhuaxia, since the searching ability is a common user scenario. [...]
