A Survey On Chinese Active Bloggers
On last month’s Chinese Blogger Conference, Yahoo China made a small survey for participants, and now they shared the data in Yahoo China search blog. The survey is not so professional, but we can still get some useful findings:
- The most popular social bookmarking service is del.icio.us, followed by 365key, only 16% respondents don’t user social bookmarking.
- Though news portal is still their main information consuming channel(46%), RSS has been heavily used by those bloggers, 35% and 29% respondents are using online rss readers and desktop readers.
- More than half of them (56%) use tags frequently
- About half of them use Firefox
- Among China’s blogging service, Sina Blog and Microsoft Live Spaces are two most favored services
- Almost half of them is using Google Adsense in their blogs or used it before, 41% haven’t used any affiliate advertising service.
I believe that the participants of cnbloggercon can represent a group of most active bloggers in China, they are willing and eager to try and use the innovative online services, their choice show a picture of their attitudes towards those web 2.0 service. I’m just curious why Yahoo did not ask them which search engine they are using?
