SubscribeChina Telecom opens arms to Microsoft Live Search
In our previous post, we reported that 114 web search is powered by Baidu. Yesterday, it turned out they finally go with Microsoft. Fortunately we made a screen shot. So you can compared with the current search result. They are different.
Reported by Sina, Microsoft will pay China Telecom no less than 21 million USD from Jun 2006 to the end of 2008. And China Telecom will share revenue with Microsoft according to traffic, 70% in 2007 and 50% in 2008. Although they are not confirmed by either of the two companies.
A new service they added this time is the yellowpage search. If you know clearly what you are looking for, this service can help you find the company profile, where you can find their telephone number. Otherwise, you will just see unrelevant advertisement, with their strong promotion of the paid ranking service.
